Business During COVID

GNEC remains fully operational during COVID-19, with employees working both in the GNEC offices and at home on a rotational basis.

GNEC/TWD has implemented a comprehensive office policy to protect our workers and their families, our colleagues, friends and guests. To keep our team and guests as safe as possible, the GNEC offices have been reconfigured to respect distancing requirements, numerous sanitizing stations have been installed, the cleaning schedule has been increased, a contact tracking system is in place, health support systems have been heightened, all employees have the option to work from home and an office roster has been implemented to reduce the number of people in our offices at any given time. We continue to monitor and respond to regulations and guidelines issued by the medical community and government agencies as they arise.

We look forward to meeting with our clients in person again, until that day please reach out to us any time.

Keep well and keep safe. The GNEC Team

GNEC becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of TWD Technologies Ltd.

We are pleased to announce that as of May 1st, 2019, GNEC became a wholly owned subsidiary of TWD Technologies Ltd., a leading mid-sized Canadian EPCM firm with headquarters in Burlington, ON and offices throughout Canada Burnaby, Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray, Sarnia, Moncton) and the US (Pittsburgh).

Since inception in 1999, TWD’s corporate mission has been to become a leading engineering firm in Canada. Though the core focus to date has been on the energy sector, TWD has been looking for ways to expand its mission of delivering technical business solutions for engineering project development and execution. The addition of GNEC allows both companies to combine expertise and experiences and deliver extraordinary EPCM solutions across many Canadian industries – “Together We Deliver”. From TWD co-founder Milt Tsiapalis: “For TWD, the acquisition of GNEC represents a significant step in our continued growth. For 20 years, TWD has primarily served the oil and gas sector across Canada and now with GNEC at its side, TWD can diversify its business into power, utility, transportation, and infrastructure in a very healthy way.”

Established in 2012, GNEC has become a respected and trusted electrical engineering consulting firm for private and public sector clients in the Transportation and Utility Infrastructure industries by fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation, traits it shares with TWD. By joining the TWD family, GNEC is able to continue to grow and expand its value-added services into new markets. Current Principals will remain in management roles with GNEC, which will continue to operate under the name that clients have grown to trust. The backbone of this trust, GNEC employees will maintain their strong relationships and continue to offer niche industry expertise to clients.
